The Falcons wide receiver was handed a year-long suspension on Monday, with the NFL banning Ridley for a year after it was discovered that he had gambled on games during his time away from the field earlier in the year.

While the Falcons wideout was away from the game due to mental health issues, he also maintained radio silence on the Tweet Machine while he was away from the field.

On March 4, Ridley broke his Twitter silence with a pair of somewhat cryptic tweets.

The first:

“(Football) is life,” Ridley tweeted.

Soon after, he posted a tweet with a laughing face emoji, and a few days later, posted a tweet that said “I learn from my Ls.”

Little did the Twitterverse know that Ridley’s tweets were a precursor to Monday’s suspension news. Ridley returned to Twitter and delivered a number of tweets in quick succession, offering commentary on the suspension and more:

The five-tweet tsunami sent out by Ridley came to an end as of post time.
