Former Cote d’Ivoire gaffer and current Morocco coach, Herve Renard joined Salomon Kalou and Michael Essien in sending birthday wishes to the Phoenix Rising star.
Drogba started his professional career with Le Mans in France before forging a name for himself at Guingamp and Marseille. He switched to Chelsea in 2004 where he won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and the Champions League in his two stints with the London club.
During his one-and-a-half-year stay with Galatasaray, the 2006 and 2009 African Footballer of the Year won the Turkish Super Lig, the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Cup.
The experienced talisman also turned out for Chinese Super Lig side, Shanghai Shenhua and Major League Soccer outfit Montreal Impact before joining Phoenix Rising as a free agent in April 2017.
Drogba who appeared in three World Cup tournaments - 2006, 2010 and 2014, is Cote d’Ivoire’s all-time top scorer with 63 goals in 104 appearances.
