The three-part film series aims to help spread the word about not only how amazing the boundary waters are, but how important it is to leave them untouched and keep companies from opening copper sulfide mines that could forever change the environment.

The series documents three executive chefs from the Twin Cities. Two of them haven’t really fished much or visited the Boundary Waters. It’s amazing to see them not only take the leap into the area, but also quickly fall in love with it. At one point, one of them says something to the effect that it just feels like home.

I’ve never thought about it that way, but I find myself having similar feelings in wild places. That’s one of the reasons people who love the outdoors need to get involved with efforts to preserve them.

You can watch the first part below. To watch all three films, go to the Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters website, and also consider getting involved or donating.
