In the clip, posted by Ampa Romagnoli (@amparomagnoli), a delighted golden pooch can be seen sitting at a table covered in cakes, while the humans serenade the canine with what appears to be a happy birthday song as it enthusiastically moves to the singing.

At the end of the song, the woman sitting next to the dog gives it a passionate hug.

Users were delighted by the human outpouring of love for the pet, with one person commenting: “The only reason humans should exist is to give every dog this kinda love.”

Dog birthday parties have become something of a trend in recent years, with people going above and beyond to organize the perfect ‘pawty’ for their furry companions. Some people throw joint birthdays for themselves and their dogs while others have surprise parties. Meanwhile, some go all out on the decorations and others spend a small fortune.

In December of last year, the South China Morning Post reported that a woman and her friends were reprimanded by authorities in China after she spent 100,000 yuan (approximately $16,000) on drones to celebrate her dog’s birthday. The woman, who was not identified, hired 520 drones to spell out the message “Happy 10th birthday to Doudou” in the sky above the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province.

The drones then flew around in the sky, eventually forming a birthday cake shape, as Doudou’s owner and her friends sang “Happy birthday.”

According to the South China Morning Post, the woman allegedly chose the number 520 as it sounds similar to the phrase “I love you” in Mandarin. Local police were reportedly unaware of the event at the time and subsequently said they would have shot down the drones had they seen them since the drones violated the no-fly zones amid the nearby high-rises.

Meanwhile, users were heartened by the viral birthday clip featuring the golden retriever— with theOutsider1p remarking: “Dogs are heavenly creatures.”

Effy commented: “Stop hug when will we eat the cake.”

“Woooo so gorgeous,” dorothy teresa Silve wrote.

“Dogs really are the best love this xxx,” PM said.

And Ana-Maria Lunic simply commented: “Happy Birthday.”
