The conversation continued as Horn pointed out Goodell holds all the power and works for the owners, not the players. He says media personalities can’t say anything negative about him without receiving punishment.

“People like Cris Carter and Chris Berman, who can usually say what they want, they can’t say anything bad about Roger Goodell or he’ll cut their throats,” he said. “They’re going to kiss his ass, too. They know their job could be snatched away by his power. This man makes what, $14 million a year?”

That’s when Jacobs interjected and said he actually makes over $40 million a year.

Many analysts and former players have criticized Goodell before, but Horn took it to another level. Horn may have played his last season in 2007, but Goodell will probably still find a way to fine him for his comments.
