The official E3 Twitter account shared news of the event in July when it announced that the ESA would partner with Reed Pop to bring the event back to life. The ESA and Reed Pop have shared new details about the upcoming event, including the dates and what to expect from this return to one of gaming’s biggest in-person events.

Regarding dates, E3 2023 will take place between Tuesday, June 13, and Friday, June 16. Unlike past events, which focused on press and business, E3 2023 will feature a mix of days set up for both business and consumer showcases.

Tuesday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 14, will be business-only days. Then, on Thursday, June 15, both business and consumer visitors will be allowed entry to the convention center. Finally, the last day of E3 2023, Friday, June 16, will be consumer-only.

Another change coming with E3 2023 is that indie developers and indie publishers will find the event more accessible, GamesIndustry.biz, whose parent company is Reed Pop, reported in an update on the upcoming event. There are still a lot of questions about who is going to the event, but knowing that it will take place again next year may be good news for fans who hoped to experience E3 for the first time (or even as a return visitor).

The ESA and Reed Pop have yet to share any complete specifics about how registration will work, though they have claimed that all past issues (like a nasty leak that took place a few years ago) are indeed a thing of the past. As such, press and consumers should hopefully be able to rest easy knowing their information is safe should they choose to register for the event.

Another interesting update provided in GamesIndustry.biz’s post is that a meeting app will be available to help E3 attendees set up appointments and the like.

Of course, E3 2023 is still a long way off. And, there’s no doubt we’ll see more information coming out in the next several months to help further lay out the plan for the in-person convention. For now, those looking forward to the event’s return can at least start planning ahead to take advantage of this monumental return to form.
