Ahead of its April 6 launch date, Quibi has added more programs, such as Arnett’s Memory Hole, to its current slate. Though the current NBA season has postponed, Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James is still keeping busy. James has a Quibi documentary, I Promise, coming out, per Deadline.
I, for one, am excited for Quibi’s horror anthology series, 50 States of Fright, which hails from Army of Darkness director Sam Raimi. The horror series has an all-star cast, which includes Rachel Brosnahan, Christina Ricci, and Ming-Na Wen, each installment. Each episode, edited for 10 minutes or less, will follow various urban legends across America, per Collider.
After focusing on the Marvel superhero with his Spider-Man trilogy, Raimi is heading back to his horror roots. Just like in his1981 movie, The Evil Dead, expect his trademark slapstick humor, crazy angles, and over-the-top camerawork with 50 States of Fright.
This writer already thinks the Quibi has a great lineup worth looking into. Let’s see how these show turns out when Quibi officially launches.
