This year’s Main Event will kickoff on Sunday, July 5, 2015 as players will once again be able to chose to play on one of three starting days. The final day of play for the summer will be on Tuesday, July 14, where the Main Event will play down to the final nine players. The November Nine dates will be announced at a later time. After guaranteeing a $10M payday to the winner in 2014, WSOP officials have switched things up a bit this year after listening to the players. The Main Event will pay at least 1,000 players, which means that more players will be able to make the money.

Seniors will have two kicks at the can this year. The traditional (and wildly succesful) Seniors Championship - which is open to those 50 and older - will once again return starting on June 19th. Two days later, the inaugural “Super Seniors Event” will see the light of day as those aged 65 and over will have a second shot at a WSOP gold bracelet.

Both low buy-in Millionaire Maker ($1M guaranteed to the winner) and Monster Stack events return to the schedule. A new low buy-in event, which could set attendance records, has been added to the 2015 schedule at the “Colossus” event will be part of the opening weekend schedule. Players will be able to buy-in for $565 in order to take their shot at a bracelet.
