On Sunday, Broncos tackle Garett Bolles reminded us all why.

A fumble by Denver running back Melvin Gordon bounced straight into the hands of Raiders corner Amik Robertson, who took off toward the end zone. The Broncos’ offense scrambled to try to keep up.

No one was able to catch the speedy Robertson, but to Bolles’ credit, he gave it his all. That is, until this futile attempt at a tackle near the goal line:

The ill-fated try quickly went viral.

Even Bolles’ wife, Natalie, had to laugh at the effort.

Next time the Denver offense turns it over, we’ll see if Bolles worked on his tackling in practice following Sunday’s display.
