Originally scheduled to be played last summer, the tournament was moved because of the coronavirus pandemic, which also meant that Dublin and Bilbao, two of the host venues, had to withdraw as they couldn’t guarantee spectators would be able to attend.

The latter was replaced by Seville, which will be joined by 10 other cities including soccer-mad places such as Munich, Amsterdam, Rome and London, which will host the two semifinals and the final at Wembley Stadium.

Traditionally held in one country, the spread-out version of the tournament is the brainchild of former UEFA President Michel Platini, who suggested that staging the competition around the continent would be a fitting way to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

While several eyebrows were raised when Platini put the suggestion forward in 2012, the proposal was then turned into a logistical nightmare because of the COVID pandemic. As has now become commonplace, teams will spend the entire tournament in bio-secure bubbles, while fans will be allowed to attend as Europe countries steadily emerge from lockdowns.

Of the 11 host cities, however, only Budapest is planning to have a full stadium, while St. Petersburg and Baku expect to fill their stadiums at 50 percent of capacity.

Venues in London, Glasgow, Rome, Amsterdam and Bucharest are expected to be 25 percent full, while Munich will operate at 20 percent capacity. Stadiums in Copenhagen and Seville, meanwhile, will operate at 33 percent and 30 percent capacity, respectively.

The entire tournament will be broadcast in the U.S. by ESPN across its channels. Of the 51 games, 40 will air on ESPN, six on ESPN2 and five on ABC.

Every game will be available for live stream on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Games will also be available via streaming services like fuboTV and Sling TV.

Here’s the complete Euro 2020 TV schedule for each of the six groups. The tournament then progresses to knock-out format from a round of 16, starting on June 26.
