The massacre has revived the gun control debate in the United States as many try to make sense of why mass shootings remain a routine occurrence in the country. 

On Monday, ESPN’s Rachel Nichols opened her NBA show “The Jump” with a plea to people to keep working together to end gun violence.

Nichols also spoke of the NBA’s efforts to end gun violence, specifically the league’s partnership with the Everytown organization.

“Las Vegas is a sobering reminder we haven’t done that yet (end gun violence),” Nichols said. “We can, and we owe it to the families mourning today to do the hard work of figuring it out.”
