With Sam Bradford held out of Sunday’s lineup, backup Mark Sanchez fired an overthrown dart toward the USC product in the first quarter against the Colts. Nelson snagged the high throw and did the rest; burned three Indianapolis defenders on his way to the end zone.

Agholor’s 34-yard score capped an eight-play, 80-yard drive for Philadelphia’s offense and gave the Eagles a 7-3 lead. 

The 22-year-old rookie was listed behind Josh Huff on the Eagles first depth chart. While few conclusions can be drawn from preseason performances, Nelson’s display of athleticism and speed won’t be ignored.

(It certainly was not ignored on social media.)

The Eagles beat the Colts, 36-10, and Agholor finished with three catches for 57 yards and a score.
