Eagles Kicker Suffers Concussion After Punt Hits Him In Head During Warmups

Before Thursday night’s preseason matchup with the Steelers, Sturgis endured a concussion after he was hit on the head by a punt from teammate Donnie Jones during pregame warmups. Sturgis, who is competing with Cody Parkey for the kicking role in Philadelphia, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Could Jones have any intent to injure Sturgis? Probably not. 

Sturgis went 18 of 22 on field goal attempts in 13 games for the Eagles last season.
