After weeks of auditions and live shows, 11 finalists have now been named and will battle it out one last time to be crowned the winner of Season 17. The public voted for its favorite two acts each week of the five semifinal rounds, which took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the 11th Wild Card act was chosen by the judges. For this season, the judging panel was made up of Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, and the show was hosted by Terry Crews....

Buckingham Palace has called the claims “concerning” and that they are “taken very seriously and will be addressed” privately....

In a statement to Page Six, a representative for Smith denied the rumor, saying it was “absolutely not true.” Her husband, Oscar-nominated actor Will Smith, has not spoken on the issue publicly. Rumors surrounding the couple having an open marriage have circulated for years. In 2005, Will Smith told The Daily Mail that the two speak openly about being sexually attracted to other people and made claims that stoked the speculation....

Unfortunately, that’s essentially all the left is capable of producing these days. To wit, the human rights watchdog organization Human Rights Watch issued a report this week accusing Israel of “the crimes of apartheid and persecution.” The report is filled with lengthy legal definitions that stretch the term apartheid well beyond the average layperson’s understanding of the term. But the report’s real weakness is in its total lack of any context....

Thao is a Hmong American, Lane is white, and Kueng is Black. The latest jury makeup appears to include just two people of Asian descent among the selected jurors and their potential alternates, while all the others are apparently white, according to the Associated Press....

Ward has been trying to undo the result in Arizona, whose 11 electoral college votes went to President-elect Joe Biden. His 10,457-vote margin made him the first Democrat to win the Grand Canyon State for 24 years. Ward filed a lawsuit in Maricopa County Superior Court that challenged how signatures to authenticate mail-in ballots were verified in the county. Ward also questioned the process that election officials used to count ballots that tabulation machines could not read....

Pivovarov announced last week that Open Russia was shutting down because Russian authorities deemed the group “undesirable.” According to a 2015 Russian law, membership in an undesirable organization is a criminal offense. “There is a plan to put any people with a different view under arrest, but such people already are the majority,” Pivovarvo said from police custody in a letter that his lawyers posted on his Instagram account Tuesday....

Riley, 33, is facing numerous charges—including four counts of first-degree murder—after allegedly fatally shooting multiple people and injuring an 11-year-old girl. The victims include Justice Gleason, 40; an unidentified 33-year-old woman; a 3-month-old boy; and the 62-year-old grandmother of the infant. The 11-year-old girl, whose name has not been released, was shot at least seven times but survived. The shootings occurred around 4 a.m. ET Sunday in Lakeland, Florida....

News broke earlier this month that SolarWinds Orion software had been breached as far back as March by alleged Russian hackers, compromising top federal government agencies and hundreds of other clients. At least 200 clients, including the Departments of Homeland Security, Treasury, Commerce and others were impacted by the breach, while as many as 18,000 clients may have downloaded the Orion software update in which hackers managed to install malware....
